Moving on...
My classroom walls are bare. My desk drawers are empty. I've got a box full of leftover plastic cups and paper plates I don't know what to do with. We are moving on.
My curtains are the last remaining symbol of my time in Portable 602 here at Liberty Hill High School. They were made specifically for these windows. But, we are moving on.
We are planning on Bryce doing Hoop Camp the last week we are here. One last chance to hang out with his friend Dillon. One more walk through the high school foyer to the gym where we used to watch pep rallies for the Panthers.
This week has been full of final exams for the kids. It is weird to say, "Goodbye" instead of "See you next week" or even "See you next year." But it's time to move on.
We will be in Leakey for a week after we leave Liberty Hill. A week to get a glimpse of what's to come. To see if my curtains might fit the windows in my new classroom. To look through the materials I'll have to teach with. To pick up the stuff that this year's Spanish teacher so graciously ordered for me, after asking what I wanted to do with leftover budget money.
Maybe we'll have time to look around town. Find a shady park, the best spot to pick up an ice cream cone. And the library. We will definitely have to check out the library. We can even get a sneak peek into the boys' classrooms for next year. We've seen them once, but that was before we knew we would be moving there.
It is a bittersweet time... Changing our lives drastically, again. But we are anticipating great things in Leakey :)

Bluebonnet Pics
This one is in my banner up there...
Fun times with my boys. Pretty soon I won't have to kneel to get our faces this close!
Here is one you might like:
Bryce and I often wonder what those other two are doing. But they make us laugh.
Our last photo together was right after we got engaged. It was time! :)
Aww, aren't they cute?

Camping in Bend, TX
We did this back at Easter, but I'm just getting around to posting :) Thanks to Amber for taking all these pictures and sharing on facebook. That's why there are so many of me!
In front of Dick and Sandi's Open Range camper. We were borrowing it because ours was in the shop. Again.
So Henry was supposed to be looking. I was cold at night. He was obviously not. Or maybe that's why he was sitting in my lap?
Eggs and Bacon for breakfast. I opted out of the tortillas. I'm still attempting to eat Paleo most of the time. Unfortunately I find it hard to turn down dessert. The bane of my existence.
I was also cold in the morning. Bryce and I had to have our noodle fight. Part of the tradition, you know.
Peacefully night fishing. Right before the big family brawl broke out a hundred feet away from us. Let's just say there was a lot of beer, yelling, and one patient cop involved.
We really enjoyed this weekend. We loved hanging out with the Halls and enjoying the river. It was too cold for me (that seems to be a theme around here) but the boys LOVED it. Including Shawn.
Tomorrow... Our First Family Pics since Henry was born! (Yes, in five years. I needed backup to get Shawn to do it... Thanks Amber!!)

Field Day!
I unexpectedly got to go to Bryce's Field Day again this year :) It was May 22. I was in my room that morning trying to figure out a time when I could head over there when the school receptionist, who is also in charge of subs, came in and said I would get a free period that day. Woohoo! It was a reward for never saying no when she asked me to cover someone else's class! Score!!
So anyway, I got to hang out for about an hour with Bryce and his class.
After a few minutes I ran and got Henry so he could do the big bounce house with Bryce. He was happy to be there, even if he couldn't do most of the events cause they were reserved for the first graders...

This is Bryce's best friend, Dillon. They are really going to miss each other when we leave town. They made those tie-dyed shirts at school, and they ended up shrinking more than I thought they would! Oh well...
Notice that spot in the middle where the hair is shorter? It's been that way since about 3 days after he got his first professional haircut. He cut it himself!

After Bryce did this event, he snuck the frisbee to Henry while the teachers weren't looking... :)
Long Jump!
After school Bryce went home with Dillon to go to Gattiland for Dillon's birthday. The three of us ended up going to Cedar Park and going to the AT&T store. But I couldn't let Henry be the only child and not do something fun. So we made our way over to Gigi's Cupcakes...

Summer Plans 2012
We've got a full summer coming up, and I am ready for it!
This week will be our last at school; graduation is Friday and it is our last day in Liberty Hill ISD. (Well, technically Shawn will be working until the 15th...)
Then we are taking our camper to get it fixed. Hopefully we will pick it up that next Tuesday. We will be in Liberty Hill until about the 15th. Then it's on to...
Leakey for a week. Shawn will jump into getting his own program going, hopefully meeting some people, getting his officers together, that kind of thing. We are looking forward to seeing a little more of our new home before we go to...
Corpus Christi for two whole weeks! :) We will either take the camper and stay in an RV park in Flour Bluff, or we'll stay at my mom's. We haven't decided for sure, but either way we will be hanging out with my side of the family and I'm excited. The boys will get to spend some time with their cousin, Logan, too.
After Corpus, we are splitting up... Shawn is going back to Leakey to get things rolling there. And I am headed to...
SPAIN for 10 days! We are taking 9 kids, 1 mom, and my teaching partner. I am really looking forward to this!!
Here are the shoes that Shawn bought for me to wear while I'm there. I really needed something other than flip-flops since there is going to be a lot of walking involved... I wasn't sure of the color at first, but I think I'm really going to like them! They aren't here yet, but I'm ready to break them in :)

STAAR stinks.
Well we are on another week of testing. Boring. So stinkin' boring!
All morning I was walking the halls, watching classes so the teachers could take a quick break. I did get some quality time in with my cracked iPhone as well. You know, a morning well-spent...
After today we only have two Mondays left!
And I've been counting down. 17 days of school remain :)

The Camper Has Arrived
We are going to be picking up a new RV tomorrow from Waco. It is a 2013 XLR Thunderbolt 395Amp. It is a Toy Hauler, which means it has a garage in it. Our garage is 14 feet long.
This is the outside. Shawn really liked the full body paint option, rather than just fiberglass with decals on it.
Here is a link to some more pictures... http://www.rv007.com/pre_owned_detail.asp?sid=038052X4K14K2012J9I29I28JAMQ4109R0&veh=2633397
We are going to be taking it out for its maiden voyage on Wednesday. We will be staying at the Barefoot Campground in Bend until Sunday... Woohoo! :)

Mixed Emotions
So tonight we went to the annual Liberty Hill Cookoff. I had a LOT of fun... And it made me a little sad. Sad to leave the friends we have made here. It has taken me three years to get comfortable, and now we are leaving. It feels like we know "everyone" here...
I am really looking forward to all the good things to come in Leakey, but I'm also realizing how many people we will miss when we go.
Liberty Hill has been good to us :)
I feel like I have learned a lot about making friends this year. I know that sounds weird, but I really am not that good at it. Other people have had to do the initiating in the past. Now I know that I can start a friendship, I can throw a birthday party, I can be the first one to volunteer to help someone. So I hope that I do all of that in Leakey and I hope that we are able to make some friends quickly. I'd love to feel like a part of the community earlier than three years from now...

Onward to Leakey

Shawn has accepted a new position teaching Ag in Leakey, TX. (pronounced Lake-y)
He is really excited to have the chance to run his own program and build something really cool. He will be able to decide what courses to teach as well as have his own shop classes. Leakey is a small 1A school with about 250 kids, K-12, all on one campus.
I am excited about all of us being at one school, knowing the boys' teachers and knowing what is going on with them each day.
They also have a Spanish job open, so I'll be teaching Spanish and doing some ESL and Special Ed. work as well. His contract starts July 1. I start mid-August...
Here's to a new chapter!
